A Case Study in the Gold Mining Industry in Australia

An Upgrade to Their Existing Processing Plant

At SAN Electro Heat, we understand the importance of ensuring our clients feel confident in their equipment, regardless of their geographical location. Recently, we had the privilege of working with a client based in Australia who required an upgrade to their existing processing plant. Despite the distance, we leveraged digital technologies to bridge the gap and ensure seamless communication.

The Challenge

This client had previously purchased a complete processing system in 2002 from another Danish company, which sourced the heating solution from SAN Electro Heat. Twenty-two years later, as they sought to replace the system, their heating requirements had evolved significantly. While the original heater, installed in 2002, heated air to 300°C, the client now needed to double the output within the same space.

To meet this challenge, our team at SAN Electro Heat had to innovate. We developed a more compact heater capable of delivering the required power while maintaining efficiency. This involved creating a reinforced channel to achieve the higher temperature. We also had to lift the terminal box to to prevent overheating.

Embracing Digital Solutions for Global Client Satisfaction

In the accompanying image, you can see a virtual meeting where one of our technicians, alongside Technical Sales Engineer Steffan Verner, demonstrates the lifting of the new heater. While SAN Electro Heat does not provide crane operation training, we went the extra mile to offer an online Mechanical Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the client's peace of mind before the equipment embarks on its journey across the globe.
