SAN is known for its high quality point heating elements. Elements based on a unique dual insulation layer technology. This improves vibration/shock absorbents and improves the electrical isolation. Proven record of lifetime of 25-30 years.
It is very expensive to change a broken heating element during the winter season. The element + transportation + 2x persons to go on-site + security personel + blocking the traffic + compensation to train operators if delayed. In this price picture it is not worth even considering cheap low quality elements.
The SSV type has an extra slimline design that allows the element to be installed in the narrow space e.g. between the sliding chair and the stock rail on smaller rail profiles.
The unique and shock absorbent design makes our flexible flat heating elements a reliable solution, which withstands the harsh train traffic environment. The single ended connection ensures that moisture problems are avoided.
We manufacture our heating elements in various sizes, shapes, length, electrical compatibility, energy intensity, insulation grades and outer shield material. Everything to meet the specific local demands and conditions, and to fulfil the customer’s special requirements.
The inner construction of the heating element is extremely resistant to mechanical shock and vibrations.
Proven records of 30 years+ and more than ½ a million installations world wide.
The slimline and flexible design improves the surface contact to the rail. Our slimline elements are designed for both stock rail and switch rail.
We deliver our switch point heating elements in length up to 7.5m, power up to 1000W/m, voltage 48-240V or 750VDC. The heating elements are pre-bent to specific shapes or delivered with tools to do it on-site.
The dual insulation layer secures that there is no electrical shorts to the outer shield.
The flexible switch point heating elements are delivered with an easy clamp system, which facilitates the installation and reduces the installation cost.
SAN Electro Heat a/s was founded in 1950 in Copenhagen. Today we are situated in North Sealand and we are part of the Swedish NIBE Group.
