SAN Electro Heat a/s - previously called Svend A. Nielsen A/S - was founded in 1950 by engineer Svend A. Nielsen. The company was in the early years an agency company selling products for technical heating.
Within a few years the company grew rapidly, and the agency sales slipped into the background, and focus was laid on development and production.
In 1960 the company employed approx. 15 persons, and the facilities in Copenhagen became too small.
